Črna–Podolševa or Bistra–Pavlič pass–Eisenkappel–Luscha–Koprivna or Topla–Črna
Route description: |
|
The route starts in Črna with a gentle climb on a paved road. Arriving at the intersection, you can choose to continue to Sp. Slemen either through the Bistra Valley or the Koprivna Valley. It is better to choose the former, since the road is not as busy and the valley is more open (route around Raduha).
After approximately 5 km of climbing on a paved road, turn onto a less busy dirt road with an intermediate climb to the intersection in Sp. Slemen. At the intersection continue straight on the cart track to Zg. Slemen to almost the foot of Olševa where a stunning view of Raduha and the neighbouring peaks reveals itself. Descend on the cart track and continue on the panoramic road to the fork for Pavličevo sedlo. The road is quite diverse with some climbs and descents past numerous farms with beautiful views of the Logar Valley and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Next is the climb on the paved road to Pavlič pass where you cross the state border and then briefly descend and climb again, after which a wild descent on the winding road to Eisenkappel follows, where you turn right after the bridge to the next mountain pass – Luscha. The road from Eisenkappel climbs slightly for about 7 km and then climbs steeply for 5 km to Luscha; at the intersection you arrive at the road, which is part of the route around Peca. So as to not return to Črna through the Koprivna Valley, turn left after about a kilometre past the state border crossing and continue for 3 km with the climb along the state border to Preval. Descend through the Topla Valley (one of the most beautiful valleys) along the foot of Peca all the way to Črna.
