On the steep slope of Jelenov vrh, 1221 m above sea level, near the Austrian border, stands the filial church of St Anne, intercessor for a happy marriage, birth and motherhood as well as protector against storms, from the 14th century. The simple Gothic building, reinforced with buttresses and a lattice arch in the chancel, was in relatively bad shape, similarly to the parish church. After being renovated between 1982 and 1997, it now attracts visitors from far and wide, because of the open border also many from Austria, with its Black Madonna statue, its warmth and familiarity. The main altar features Mary's parents Joachim and Anne; besides the most prominent altar of the Black Madonna, the church features two more altars dedicated to St Catherine and St Sebastian, respectively.
