BIKING TRAIL: AROUND RADUHA (advanced)

Črna–Sp. Sleme–Bukovnik–Solčava–Luče–Raduha–(Strmec)–Vodol mountain pasture–(Koča na Loki)–Bela peč–Črna

Ride from Črna to Pristava hamlet, then turn left towards Ludranski vrh. After about 3 km, you reach an intersection where you turn right towards the Bistra Valley. A 10 km climb on a dirt road along beautiful meadows at the foot of the Smrekovec mountains brings you to the intersection in Sp. Slemen where you turn left and continue with a short climb to the Bukovnik farm – the highest-altitude farm in Slovenia (1327 m). Shortly before Bukovnik, turn right onto the marked forest trail where you begin the adrenaline-filled descent past Osojnik and Jankar farms. From there, continue on the dirt road to Solčava. Continue on the paved road in the valley of the Savinja river with a mild descent to Luče. In Luče, you can decide to turn left over the bridge immediately before the camp and continue on the dynamic road with stunning views or ride another 2 km on the paved road out of Luče and then turn left towards the hut on Loka (well-marked with roadside signposts). The first option is indeed more attractive, where you continue after the first longer climb on the paved road on a dynamic dirt road past numerous meadows with beautiful views of the valley and neighbouring hills; then you descend to the road leading over Strmec and climb to the Vodol mountain pasture. There you can decide whether to ride to the hut on Loka and visit the nearby Snow Cave (Snežna jama) or continue past the Vodol mountain pasture and then via the forest trail to Bela peč.

At the hut on Loka you can have some refreshments and then continue on the more demanding forest trail towards Vodol mountain pasture or backtrack 2 km to the intersection where you turn left and after a shorter climb arrive at Vodol mountain pasture. The routes merge here; continue on the forest trail with an initial steep climb and a descent towards Bela peč. A shorter climb on a dirt road and then the final part of the route follow, approx. 16 km on the route shared with the Smrekovec Mountains Trail to Črna.
