2393 Črna na Koroškem
The path follows a landscape with forests which were badly damaged by industrial gases in the past. It was initiated by pupils and teachers of the primary school in Črna na Koroškem and foresters of the local branch of the Forestry Office. It runs on the Teber slope behind the primary school.
There, you can discover the Carinthian landscape from Črna na Koroškem over the Rezman and Orožije ridges all the way to the peaks of Peca, Olševa, Smrekovec and Raduha. It has plentiful forests and a criss-cross of picturesque smallholding-type farms. The path primarily plays a nature conservation and awareness-raising role with an emphasis on the conservation of our living environment – forest or non-forest.
The path begins behind the Črna Beekeeping House and leads to the Matvoz meadow. It is 800 m long and features nine spots: forest floor, orchard, tree, forest, glade, stream, land slide and forest landscape. A salamander marks the path. On the path you can learn about the basic characteristics and meaning of individual natural elements of the forest landscape.
