Mount Olševa is a ridge mountain in the eastern part of the Karawanks near the border with Austria. Its ridge once divided the historical regions of Koroška and Štajerska. Its highest point, Govca, is 1,929 meters high. Other peaks along the 5-kilometer ridge are Obel kamen on the western side, and Smooth Peak (Gladki vrh) and Pretty Peak (Lepi vrh) on the eastern part. About 200 metres under the Obel Kamen peak, you can visit an excavation site from the Stone Age – Potočka Zijalka. It is a cave in northern Slovenia, declared a high-elevation archaeological and paleontological site. From the grassy peak we have a beautiful view of Peca, mountain Uršlja, Raduha, Logarska valley and the mountains above the mentioned valley, Košuta, Obir and part of Austria. Govca is the highest peak of Olševa, a mountain range that rises above Koprivna, Solčava and Remšenik.
